Frequently asked questions
nothinpp needs iOS's Screen Time permission to work. Go to Settings → Screen Time and confirm nothinpp is authorized. If you revoked it by accident, reopen the app and accept the permission when prompted.
This can happen after an iOS or app update. Don't worry: nothing stays blocked by mistake in that case (fail-open), and the app itself will show you a banner to pick your apps again. Choose them again and your session continues.
Every 7 days you get an automatic repair that absorbs one slip. If you've already used it, or if you broke your commitment by disabling Screen Time (not covered by the automatic repair), the streak stays broken — a slip is meant to be absorbed, not erased retroactively.
Uninstalling the app deletes everything. This version stores all data locally on your device and never uploads anything, so there is nothing on our side to delete. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
If you're on iOS 17 and notice your phone stays unlocked longer than it should, update to the latest nothinpp version — this specific iOS 17 issue is already fixed in recent builds. If you still see it, write to us with your iOS and app version.
System call and emergency apps are never blocked — that's an Apple guarantee, not a nothinpp one. You can call without turning anything off, immediately.
For any other reason: press and hold the focus screen to open the options, then "I want to stop". It takes five minutes on purpose, and it resets your streak. If you want the block gone right now, turning off Screen Time for nothinpp in iOS Settings — or deleting the app — lifts it instantly.
Privacy
No data collection
nothinpp does not collect, process or transmit any personal data. This version makes no network connections of its own.
No analytics or tracking
No analytics tools, no crash-reporting services, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs of any kind.
Local storage only
Your selection, your reasons and your counters live in an App Group on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
Screen Time data stays private
The blocking runs through Apple's Screen Time. That data is never used for advertising — a condition Apple requires, and we honor it.
