Summary: FingerCode is a tool for recovering your own PINs. By using it, you agree to use it legally and responsibly — solely to recover codes over which you have legitimate authority.
1. Acceptance of the terms
By downloading, installing or using FingerCode, you accept these Terms of Use in full. If you do not agree with any part, do not use the application.
These terms are a legal agreement between you and Koddo (Koddo Ingeniería de Datos y Software), developer of FingerCode.
2. Description of the service
FingerCode is an iPhone application that analyzes the user's muscle memory. The app captures repetitions of a sequence entered manually by the user and organizes the statistics (frequency, position probability, statistical confidence) of that data. It does not crack, does not guess and does not deliver certainties: it presents statistical data for the user to interpret and decide on their own judgment.
The application works completely offline and transmits no data outside the device.
3. Permitted use
FingerCode is designed exclusively to:
- Recover your own forgotten PINs
- Recover PINs of devices you own
- Recover PINs of devices over which you have legal authority (minors in your care, inheritance from a deceased relative, corporate devices you are responsible for)
4. Prohibited use
It is expressly forbidden to use FingerCode to:
- Attempt to access other people's devices without the owner's consent
- Any activity that violates applicable local, national or international laws
- Espionage, unauthorized surveillance or any form of digital intrusion
- Facilitate unauthorized access to third-party accounts, systems or data
Breaching these restrictions may constitute a criminal offense under the laws of your country.
5. Limitation of liability
FingerCode is a statistical-analysis tool provided "as is", without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the app will reveal any PIN in any specific case. The results are statistical estimates that depend on the depth of the user's muscle memory and the number of attempts made, and the most frequent pattern may not be the real code.
Risk of device lockout or data erasure. Many devices lock or erase their contents after several failed passcode attempts. The user acknowledges and assumes that they are solely responsible for entering any code on a real device and for the consequences of doing so. FingerCode never enters codes on any device.
Koddo is not responsible for:
- Misuse of the application by the user
- The lockout, disabling or data loss of any device resulting from entering codes based on the app's results
- Direct or indirect damages arising from use of the app
- The accuracy of the statistical results provided
- Legal consequences arising from use outside the permitted terms
6. Intellectual property
FingerCode, its source code, design, brand and all associated materials are the exclusive property of Koddo. Their reproduction, distribution or modification without written authorization is prohibited.
Downloading the app from the App Store grants you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use it on Apple devices you own.
7. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Modifications take effect from their publication at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes are published implies acceptance of the new terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law applicable at the developer's place of business. Any dispute arising in connection with them shall be submitted to the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
